Meet the Team: Rebecca

Chances are if you’ve ever shopped at Sherman’s or visited the Sherman’s Peru location in the last 21 years, you’ve met Rebecca. Currently our Peru Furniture & Mattress Area Manager, she’s responsible for leading our sales team and ensuring our customers are happy they chose Sherman’s. She definitely helps make us a remarkable place to work and shop! Read below to learn more about Rebecca!

I came to Sherman’s looking for part-time work while attending college, and that was 21 years ago! Started in sales and now I’ve been the Assistant Store Manager in Peru for 14 years. It was obvious to me that I found a company that cared about its employees as much as they cared for their customers from the moment I was hired. I love that the Sherman family gave me a chance to excel in every way by giving me the training I need to serve our customers well!

What do you like about being a sales person?

I love that it is never the same day twice. We learn about so many different products and meet many different people. Every day is different and that suits me. If I had to do the same thing all day it would get boring, I love doing so many different things and seeing when customers pick out their new products.

When Rebecca isn’t at work.

I enjoy hiking with my family and letting our chunky fat labrador Lucy run around. When the weather is nice, I really enjoy having time to myself and decompress from the week by gardening.

Advice for anyone wanting to join the Sherman’s sales team?

The best advice I’d give anyone is to come in as yourself! Be ready to learn something new every day.
